New Classes

School has just started again at Fletcher and I’m excited to be back.  It is amazing how much I have changed from when I was younger, this is the first time I’ve been happy to start a new semester since probably ever.  I’m happy with my new classes so far, but I can tell it will be more work than last semester.  Here are the 4 classes I will be taking, so here are some subjects the blog will probably be featuring soon.

1) East Asia international relations since 1945

2) Making of a politician at Harvard Kennedy School

3) Modern Terrorism

4) Informal and Underground economics

I am most excited about the last one, it is about money laundering as well as informal economies.  I’m not so sure that I will be as happy at all of this in a month or two once papers and midterms start, but for now it is a good feeling.  Also, this weekend I am going on a school trip with the rest of the school, and equally exciting Robert Kaplan is coming to talk about his book The Revenge of Geography next week.  It’s a great way to start the new year.
